Version Generator
The Version Generator is a Rules Workbench utility that helps users manage versions of data in the OIPA database. It enables users to,

Generate new versions of existing data.

Restore existing data from available database tracks to a selected version.
This utility supports efficient version control and data recovery across environments.
Prerequisite
To access the Version Generator, a user must be assigned to an Admin role.
Version Generator Workflow

Log in to the Oracle Insurance Rules Workbench using valid credentials.

Select the target environment.

Navigate to the Tools area from the top-right menu and select the Version Generator option.

When the Version Generator opens, the system automatically populates the database information, available tracks, and versioning options applicable to the selected environment.
The following two categories of steps help explain the functionality of the Version Generator utility.
Create New Version
Once the Version Generator option is selected, the system displays the list of available version generator options.

Select the checkbox next to one or more data types that require a new version. Use the Select All option to include all available data types.

Click Generate New Versions.

Confirm and click Finish.

Once Finish is clicked, the system creates a new version and increments the version number by one for all selected data types.

To verify the new version, open one of the updated data types and review the version number displayed on the General pane.
Restore a Version

Open the Version Generator.

Select one or more data types.

Click Generate Version by Reference Env/Track.

Select the track containing the version that should be used to restore and overwrite the current version of the selected data types.

Click Finish.

The system restores the selected data types to the version available in the selected reference track and overwrites the currently active version.

Users can verify the restored version by opening the corresponding data type and checking the version number on the general pane.
